Contrary to your opinions, I actually most enjoy the parts of the Imriel trilogy that involve Phedre and Joscelin, but I think that’s because they remain my favorite characters.

This one, I just liked. After years of wandering, Elua and his companions settled in the land that would become Terre d’Ange.

Of course this may change in the third and last part, but in the first two is a feature that removes something from my appreciation in relation to my very beloved trilogy of Phedre.

However, as we all know it, Imriel has the worst of luck in all the realms, and after a small mishap on sacred Alban land, he is caught up in yet another conspiracy – that of Alban lore If I wanted to read cheap, bondage crap I’d have read Fifty Shades.

Whatever I have done, I have never violated the precept of Blessed Elua. I don’t want to let these characters go, and it’s devastating to think that once Mercy is over, these characters will be gone. The whole segment in Alba felt a little too meandering, because there was such focus on broad Alban culture rather than on fleshing out Dorelei.


And with each finding and each loss, you will become more than before. Maslin, it seems, has grown much in his travels as well. Then he again feels the lustful pull supposedly bound within him.

As the kushhiel improves, they take a boat back to the Flatlands and travel to Azzalle. This isn’t quite a five-star book, but it’s better than what I’d consider four-star, and since we can’t give half stars, I’m rounding up!

Dorelai is jusgice shown to be a funny, kind and intelligent woman and Imriel’s struggles to do right by her while in love with another woman are painful. I remain completely entranced by this series.

Imriel falls into a deep depression. Still enjoyed it though–although the Vralia parts dragged on way too long. Justics and Imriel make love that night, as Dorelei wishes to have a child, having lit a candle to Eisheth. It’s always a pleasure to immerse myself in this world.

The outcome isn’t or shouldn’t be surprising. I scratched absently at the base of her ears, watching Alais contemplate the portraits. I will never speak of this incident. Truly, I hated Imriel’s character in this book. It was veiled because of the death-sentence on her.

Santa Olivia Saints Astray Before the end, Kushiel’s justice will be felt in heaven and on earth. The footman knocked for admission, exchanging low words with the attendant who answered. To hurt like I do. Here are two people from different kushiell of life, with different traditions, that are falling in love.

This lord has challenged him and wants to steal his cattle and horses, perceiving Imriel to be in a position of weakness. The marriage to the young Alban Princess brought him great joy and the soon to be It was politics and adventure kushkel some steamy bits. I also appreciated how restrained and realistic Imriel’s quest was, especially compared to Phedre’s. Amidst times of sorrow, you take your silver linings where you find them.


It is filled with people who are the salt of the earth.

Emo is when you’re whining to get attention because you think that will make you more interesting. Words can save lives.

Oh, and don’t read this review if you haven’t read the book. At times these adventures read like travel guides through medieval Europe.

I made my way toward the far end of the hall. Imriel tells to Eamonn of his relationship with Sidonie. There was a sharp chill in the air, a harbinger of winter. In this series View all Book 6. The title should be at least 4 characters long. He bears a lot and he manages most of it with grace. He grew in his marriage with Dorelei, so much that I started to tolerate him, but it wasn’t until after her death that I even started liking him.
