If the laptop still has no video even when only one either one memory module is installed, probably this is the video chip failure. Find the part number and google it. I then powered down, removed memory multiple times expecting memory issue with same result.

Any paviliin on repairing it is appreciated since I would love to paviliion it in bed and read books and comics and play games. I have a DV like the one you disassembled. Usually fuses located close to the jack too.

The instructions were perfect! Can you help me with one issue? There is no data cable between the DVD drive and motherboard.

Is the cable one disassembyl the left going from the power button to the motherboard also passing sound? And I am not confusing the hdd led with the port led.

Try the above mentioned fix from Microsoft. What else could be the problem? I just got a problem with the LCD. Disassenbly conection from the AC adapter to the DC input jack was wiggly.

How far did you disassemble the laptop? If you still getting the same problem with either memory module installed, most likely this is motherboard related issue.

I checked my adapter on other Laptop, there it is working fineno sound from it. After I reassembled my computer I found I only have a partially functioning keyboard. If everything works fine in Ubuntu but not Windows, this could be software related. Perhaps I am looking for the wrong size of the hex stud remover?

At step 13, i need to pull the antenna cables back in the laptop. In the step 8 the connector has two parts: When booting, I hear some spinning of fan or drive or both, but get an immediate blank white screen.
