It was supposed to be there, but the guy in the store didn’t find it, so he ordered it. Drood – as we are introduced to him in the haven few pages – is haven chilling.
But I decided to start reading it anyway and soon found myself in a magical new world, trapped in a fascinating web of romance, fairy tales and mystery.
Their search for answers only leads to more questions.

It’s that very odd kind of novel, with a concept I wasn’t sure I’d like, but it completely won me over. The night that Heaven lost her heart was cold and moonless. For the first pages or so, I actually thought that the timeline was set in the seventies, which is an accomplishment few authors can brag upon themselfes to have ever acheived.
Set in London it had a tense and eerie feel to it with plenty of action, a bit of romance and lots of secrets. She says she has no heart, but she’s still alive. David can’t do anything for her, but she’s bewitching and alluring. I say weird in the nicest way possible seeing as I have I really enjoyed reading Heaven.
One of the most beautiful stories about fairie that I have ever read. Yet she’s still alive It follows the YA Urban Fantasy formula to the letter, but the premise was honestly really good and then I thought with the building upon the lore about halfway through, it got even better.
Her one thought was getting as close as she could to her name sake, as high as she could to see the stars.
I hadn’t yet noticed the quotes on the front of my review copy – one of heavenn provides the very fitting phrase ‘Gaiman-esque’. It can be taken at face value, or dug into for as many layers as any individual reader sees fit. I loved the cover, which was the reason i bought the book. Genau so wie mit Mr.
