I have to say, I was very excited when I first started to read the once upon a time series. Harry and Rapunzel see each other often as they grow up. Specifically looking for how her character is an archetype of true beauty.


The ending was delightful and definitely a different variation. Now, how about the Rapunzel story? I’ve never read a Mulan retelling, so at least that was something new. Wild Orchid was a re-telling of Mulan and I loved it. There are other changes to the cokey, both Rapunzel is my favorite fairy-tale, so you can imagine my skepticism learning the Rapunzel in this version has no hair.
