In his autobiographical short stories, Bartol described himself as an oversensitive and slightly odd child with a rich fantasy life. It was so boring. Fatihkya rated it did not like it Apr 17, It would be more accurate to say that the book was written as a critique of any dictatorship and manipulation of the masses, but was written as the direct response to the Italian Fascist regime, that was at that time oppressing kaesi Slovene nation.
