This review is for a book of opinions, and since I disagree with most of those opinions… Fuerle is quite proudly wearing his pointy white hat srectus good on him, I do appreciate the openness of his bigotry. So we act on it, making important decisions about our lives, decisions that all too often are disastrous.

A giant whale, deceased a week or two ago, washed ashore on a beach, bloated and rotting, just about ready to explode and spread its insides in a stinking red, green and black slime of death all over. I was hoping not optimistically I’ll admit that this book would have some novel premise and attempt to justify it with evidence.

Simon Mashkevich marked it as to-read Jul 16, He makes claims that will support his theory but have no basis in reality, they’re there to support his own opinions. They don’t all get deleted like he wa,ks, recessives are forever and there are illnesses that only appear after the person has reproduced, for example.
Only a few hundred years ago our ancestors found nothing objectionable about owning and selling other people, and some millenniums prior to that the main course at dinner might be a member of a neighboring tribe. In the first section he seemed a bit bigoted but fairly reasonable. The problem is that he cherry-picks or misconstrues those facts in order to support his thesis that Africans, and their relatives around the globe, are “less-evolved” than are members of eectus races never mind the issue of whether “pure” races even exist, as racial mixing has been occurring for millennia, which even Fuerle admits, with dread.
There are also problems with procreation and immune system, hugely important when you’re talking about the vitality of the population. Step out of your times, as though you had just arrived on this planet, and weigh the evidence and reasoning presented.

Anderson rated it it was amazing Aug 19, He does it by switching to philosophy and he attacks Socialism, Individualism and Feminism amongst other things. Perhaps his most egregious error is his misreading of human evolution, especially the role altruism.
I mention this to encourage the reader to jettison, or at least rein in, the opinions, attitudes, and beliefs that he has picked up during his life, because in this book many of them will be disputed. Fuerle then gives himself away in the last section dalks proscribing social policy “fixes” for problems supposedly caused by racial mixing, whether biological or cultural; this proves, beyond a doubt, that he was not simply following the erecfus to its conclusion, albeit wrongheadedly, but that he already had that conclusion in mind.
