I didn’t think St John could redeem himself from the first book, but Christine Merrill did a good job of transforming him into a likeable character. Jan 01, Pamela Fernandes rated it it was ok. Even in that time unldaylike nee WOW! I do suggest they read the books in order as events in the first book are mentioned more than once.

St John was the villain in the first book of the series, The Inconvenient Duchess.
