I was apprehensive about reading ‘The New Recruit’ at first, as it was not well-known and could possibly be a bit rubbish because of that.
What I did find interesting about him though was mcanb fact that he also looked after his sworn enemies.

In Northern Ireland he spent two years working as an undercover operator with 14th Intelligence Group, going on to become an instructor. McNab writes it with the enthusiasm of a first time soldier and so makes it easy to see the army from Liam’s fecruit of view, as new and exciting with so much to learn.
An intense journey filled with heart pumping action and a few teary moments. Hardcoverpages. The main character Liam, was the classic Hero who saves people from getting blown up and cares for others and all that happy, happy stuff. But yeah I really enjoyed it.
Andy McNab joined the infantry in as a boy soldier. The details of training seemed realistic and this book might appeal to young boys with an interest in the Army. A decent little story and I picked up some knowledge about the army throughout which was a nice touch. You try to forget and move on; you enrol in Army training, you want to make something of your life.
