Old 21st April This can’t be true! The world’s upside down! Nevertheless, still love my Civic and there’s almost none that can replace it Apparently, most of the other brands have their own technical service I know my girlfriend for example has Opel Assistance. I don’t know if Honda has such service. That might explain why these brands perform so much better than Honda with their Civic Attached Files File Type: Last edited by William; 21st April at I wonder who makes them, this might explain the problem.
On the other hand, this is the price to pay for globalization it seems, the Japanese cars are increasingly not made in Japan any more, as German cars are only partially made in Germany etc. In the end it may all come down to the pricing and good luck Panbenstatistik Posted by civicfan View Post. Diesel Particle Filter, if I’m correct Fortunately, my Civic hasn’t got one although I try to be “green” by not speeding and keeping the average fuel consumption below 5.
Thanks to William from: Is there anything one can do to avoid this problem? My 09 shouldnt have it if theyve known it for a long time right? Somewhere on the internet I read the following: Toch op aanraden van de Dealer op bezoek geweest, nieuwe software en het probleem hoor niet meer voor te komen.
Myreview Honda Civic 2. The message will then disappear meaning, things are OK? This guy went to the dealership and received some new software.
This should solve the problem. As this is an older Civic than yours, I don’t think you need to expect any problems. I haven’t read anything else about problems pannenstwtistik the DPF before. Originally Posted by William View Post.

Thanks to Pottsy from: DPF’s are a pain in the butt. The 8th Gen civics in the UK do not have them. Essentially all diesel cars beyond a certain date must have them fitted. I would like any forum members with knowledge of the facelifted models to pipe up if theirs has one though UK models only as I run biodiesel and it’s not to great with DPF’s.
The new Accord has one on the 2. Originally Posted by powerofhonda View Post. I read in a german forum that others also had some problems and got the warning message, that the DPF has to be cleaned. What the reasons are, to my mind is only speculation but in my opinion the main problem seems to be driving around mostly in the city or driving around pannenstatishik with very low or very high revs for a long time.
I own my 07’er 2. From time to time interval depends on the way of my driving the regeneration pannenstatistiik in ends after some time normally min, it just took 1 time 30 min so far, but then I was driving before in the city or better stood in longtime jams and revved it quite hard while and afterwards too. So I think while normal driving what in my case includes speeding and revving as well as cruising all in a good mix it shouldn’t come to any problems with the DPF.
So, this would mean that people who aren’t able to drive a car properly, or who own a diesel but don’t lannenstatistik it.
Mine had the DPF clogged first time at km’s. All of a sudden, the motor management warning appeared on panneenstatistik dash, losing lots of power and a ventilator fan buzzing all the time under the bonnet.
At first the dealer didn’t even want to fix it as he ‘apologized’ me of doing to many short distances. How the hell could he know?? But I insisted and he regenerated the DPF under warranty.
He said there wasn’t. At km’s exactly the same problem reappeared.

So time to switch dealer. This time no dispute about warranty. Dpf was again regenerated and yes Now I’m km’s further without new DPF trouble. After about ten kilometers the process seems to end and all goes back to normal. What struck me is that my Civic is a late build. So at that time the issue didn’t seem under control at all. There must be many diesel drivers having this DPF trouble. Needing ADAC for this seems ever weirder.

This should mean you neglected the warnings and continued driving until it’s too pannenatatistik Old 5th May Don’t speak too soon!
